Founded in 1991, Mark & Energibyggarna (M&E) initially focused on energy-related services. Over time, the company expanded its service portfolio to include construction and contracting, establishing itself as a prominent player in the Gothenburg region. With a strong and experienced group of founders and management, M&E has experienced profitable growth throughout its history.

In recent years, M&E has emerged as one of the fastest-growing companies in the construction industry within the Gothenburg region. Within their Energy business segment, M&E focuses on expanding district heating and cooling systems as well as fibre networks. Their comprehensive approach covers all aspects of the process, including procurement, excavation work, laying and backfilling of asphalt. They are also involved in the construction of highways, tramways, railways, bridges, urban development projects; building gas pipelines; pouring foundations for buildings; and constructing streets and pipelines for new developments.

M&E primarily serves state-owned and municipally owned companies that have ongoing requirements for infrastructure maintenance and expansion. Their expertise allows them to meet the specific needs of these customers effectively.
