Eleda's founders, Johan Halvardsson and Peter Condrup, are the only B2B entrepreneurs in the finals of the newspaper Svenska Dagbladet's honorary award, “SvD Affärsbragd 2024”. Ten companies were nominated, and the five candidates who received the most votes made it to the finals. The winner will be chosen by a jury on May 28.
SvD Affärsbragd – awarded annually to a person or persons who have made an extraordinarily meritorious achievement in Swedish business. SvD writes, "The recipient of the award must have performed an extraordinary performance, had the courage to challenge established players or monopolies, and with their entrepreneurship created new business opportunities".
"It is very unexpected and exciting that an unknown company such as Eleda is participating in such an honorable competition. Our founders, Johan and Peter, stand for fantastic entrepreneurship, and they have built up a large and successful group in just a few years, so the nomination is, of course, well deserved. Eleda was formed in 2017 to build the infrastructure that makes society work, and today, we develop and nurture the infrastructure required in a society that is transitioning. In our industry, we work a little behind the scenes and may not get the same attention as, for example, in housing construction. But what we do is socially critical. Without electricity, water, heating, roads, bridges, fiber, and data centers, society does not function," says Marina Vangstad, Head of Communications and Brand.
On svd.se, you can read the article with Johan and Peter. In it, Johan Halvardsson says, among other things: "We are acquirers, but we only acquire in infrastructure. We are also working very hard with our organic growth and developing our staff. This means that we find it very easy to find talented employees.
